This is a newly formed group dealing with all types of problems experienced by gay men. They have trained, and training, counsellors to help gay men overcome their problems and assert their rights; -support to help people keep their lives on the rails. The group is developing networks with sympathetic groups and other agencies and aims to apply for charitable status as soon as appropriate.
They aim to provide 24 hour help via the phone and need volunteers who are understanding, friendly towards gay people and feel able to deal with the range of problems that arise in gay life. A very warm welcome will be extended to all those who feel that, "this might be me".
Training of volunteers to enhance this type of work would be arranged by the group.
